For Sale: 1959 Volkswagen Beetle in Savannah, Georgia for sale in Savannah, GA

1 of 50
Vehicle Description Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this nicely restored 1959 Volkswagen Beetle.
Finished in Ruby Red, this Beetle underwent a professional glass-out repaint a few years ago to a very nice standard - all fender welt, window seals, door seals and window sweeps were replaced (you'll find no tape marks or overspray on this car, and all rubber remains pliable).
Glass, lenses, bumpers and trim are in very good condition.
Original steel wheels finished in the correct shade of grey are wearing factory hubcaps and wide whitewall tires.
The overall fit, finish and paint quality are among the nicest you'll find on a Beetle.
Very nice floor pan and torsion bar areas with no known rust.
Interior was likewise fully restored with new carpet, door panels, seat upholstery and headliner.
The speedometer and all indicators are working, as are all lights, turn signals horn and wipers.
A RetroSound stereo with bluetooth is nicely integrated into the dash.
A wicker parcel tray behind the rear seat is a nice period touch.
The chassis VIN indicates January 1959 production; engine serial number decodes to November 1958 production, so it's very likely the original engine.
Although this Beetle maintains a completely stock appearance, it has seen some very mild and tasteful performance upgrades - the engine was fully rebuilt, and re-jugged to increase displacement from 1200 cc to 1300 cc.
12-volt conversion.
Electronic ignition.
Suspension has been fully restored and upgraded with a front sway bar and a rear camber stop compensator.
In short, this Beetle runs and drives great (and while it's not a hot rod, it does feel a bit more peppy than a stock '59).
With only 7,000 miles since restoration, it still looks and feels quite fresh.
