ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT (OFFICE AUTOMATION)

The Administrative Services Assistant will provide a variety of administrative support services to the United States Attorney's Office. Specific duties will include:
Perform routine technical support for human resources, financial management, and procurement. Assist employees and supervisors in completing routine paperwork Input information into automated personnel and payroll systems Provide general information to employees and supervisors on employees and supervisors on administrative services related topics Respond to inquiries on a variety of Administrative Services related topics Overseeing property and equipment inventories Provide administrative and office automation support Preparing a variety of reports and other documents, including maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and tracking logs. Enforcing security requirements Maintenance of office records Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. GS-6:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal service that involved providing routine technical and administrative support in one or more administrative program areas such human resources, financial management procurement as purchasing supplies and equipment, security, mail, records, reproduction services, and office automation. GS-7:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in Federal service that involved a more in-depth human resources technical support such as, recruitment and staffing actions, and providing assistance to employees regarding routine personnel actions such as employee benefits, monitoring or controlling the budget; and providing administrative support services in areas such as purchasing supplies and equipment, security, mail, records, reproduction services, and office automation. To be qualified, you must type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. (A typing test may later be required.) Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if:
1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
