We are looking for a Maintenance Superintendent to engage a talented team to continue building reliability into the Recovery and Utilities area of the Port Wentworth mill. This is a proud team with exceptional results continuously looking for ways to strengthen area reliability. Recovery Boiler availability, CEMS uptime, Kiln and Recaust reliability at rate and Truck Dump turnaround times are a few of the reliability items important to the position.

As the leader of the R+U Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Superintendent will play a crucial role shaping the growth and professional development for each member of the team. In addition, this leader will have significant input into the team's direction, allocation of resources and priority setting for competing needs. This will include providing direct supervision to a five person salaried staff consisting of supervisors and planners and through this team approximately 30 skilled technicians.

The Port Wentworth team is a non-union high performance organization building skills, ownership and responsibility in every member of the team. The candidate must have strong internal energy, the ability to energize the team and team mates and the edge needed to keep the team executing a principled approach to safely deliver equipment reliability.

This position reports to the Mill Maintenance Manager and is a part of the maintenance leadership team. A strong electrical background is needed to complement the technical skills on this leadership team. Strength in power distribution, motors, drives and PLC's is essential to the continued success of this team. Being a champion for reliability is another aspect of this role that will be used in both the R+U area as well in the skill strength of the leader.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the position:
BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience in power distribution, drives and PLC's
5 plus years supervisory experience. Staff leadership experience preferred.
8 plus years experience in Pulp
Paper, power generation or chemical industry.
Experience with SAP plant maintenance is preferred.
