Support Specialist - Mortgage Producing

Overview:

This position provides support to a mortgage banker through the sales, and management of clients and referral sources.
Provides assistance by assisting with documentation and service requests for each transaction.
Serves as a point of contact with clients by providing updates, answering inquires and following up on outstanding documentation.
Enhances outreach through direct mail, phone campaigns, and other activities that facilitate sales and marketing efforts.
The support specialist-mortgage producing position allows for the secondary production of mortgage loans by the specialist who's demonstrated prior mortgage originations and chooses to continue to do so on a limited basis.


Responsibilities:
  • Sales Support-Schedules appointments, answers incoming communications, and coordinates business development events to aid management of clients and referral sources in lending activities.
    Regularly updates clients and referral sources on the current loan process status.
    Provides post-application support when needed.
  • Documentation - Streamlines lending activities by verifying documentation such as initial credit documents, 1003, and supporting documentation required to move file into processing.
  • Sales & Marketing - Assists with sales and marketing activities including direct client communications, coordinating sales materials and other related tasks.
    Periodically assists with advanced support activities as attending profession events or participating in calls.
  • Loan Proficiency - Stays up to date on loan processes, documentation requirements, and applicable regulations to accurately support loan activities.
    Utilizes knowledge to assist clients with questions or concerns.
  • This position requires an NMLS # and is allowed to negotiate rates and originate mortgage loans as long as it doesn't interfere with the support of the primary Mortgage Banker.

Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Sales or Service in the Mortgage industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in Sales or Service in the Mortgage industry

    Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE act.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
