What You'll Do in This Position Define scope of technical programs and develop effective and efficient solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problemsRoutinely use SRNS systems and meet all SRNS requirements with little supervisory guidanceAssist in teaching less senior professionals and guiding their effortsIncorporate quality assurance engineering practices and a variety of complex features such as enhanced QA requirements, application or new or special requirements or processes and difficult coordination of oversight requirements into problem solving and QA program planning where only general objectives are definedCoordinate various phases of the activity and perform program development work in assigned fieldProvide technical support to site training division on a rotational basis; Provide QA expertise and guidance to the training organizationDesign, develop and implement QA training programs based on specific quality engineering principles, special materials and processes; multifacitied and complicated regulatory requirements following training, development, and delivering procedures where only general objectives are statedDefine specific problems based on general information from management and customersPlan Quality Assurance effort and coordinate activities with those of other divisions, departments, and sections in focused areas to solve problemsEnsure compliance with quality assurance requirements of assigned work, proper utilization and training of personnel operating under one's quality/technical guidance, and compliance with approved schedules and staffing estimatesEnsure appropriate quality performance of the end process/program developed and designed to resolve the original problemSupport facility/project needs within assigned area by conducting procedure reviews, work package reviews or procurement document reviewsDetermine scheduling requirements for assigned tasks, in collaboration with managementDemonstrate cost and schedule consciousness through timely completion of assigned tasks and programsEffectively communicate results and objectives to customers, colleagues, and managementDemonstrate logic and understanding through problem solving abilities, assessments, audit reports, professional papers and articlesRoutinely communicate QA Program and corrective action status with DOE-SR personnelDevelop working knowledge of organizations and management systems to facilitate CQF efficiency and serviceDemonstrate commitment to QA concepts by active participation and successful implementation of Department TQ initiativesServe as a QA expert in evaluating the QA Programs of major program participants, including subcontractors and suppliers, in order to recommend corrective actions, redirect efforts, and provide judgment as to a project's potential for successPresent findings to Management and Site QAMay perform other duties as assignedIncorporate Civil and Structural Quality Assurance / Quality Control Engineering practices and a variety of complex features such as enhanced QA requirements, application or new or special requirements or processes and difficult coordination of oversight requirements into problem solving and QA program planning where only general objectives are definedPerform field related Civil and Structural project inspections in support of construction and the project scheduleSupport Civil and Structural facility/project needs within assigned area by conducting procedure reviews, work package reviews or procurement document reviewsNote:
