ResponsibilitiesKey
Responsibilities:
Assist with configuration, deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of CAD related applications and processes.
Ensure CAD and product definition data integrity and manage product configuration data and information throughout the product lifecycle.
Manage the CAD application software settings and environment to ensure efficient operation.
Collaborate with cross functional internal stakeholders, including project managers, to understand requirements and translate them into solutions.
Develop tools and utilities to enhance users' experience and productivity.
Testing and implementation of system changes including but not limited to scripts and additional tool sets.
Document technical content and assist with the coordination of training for CAD and Design Automation applications.
Provide training on new functionalities and upgrades.
Provide specialized daily technical assistance including prioritization and management of support issues.
Assist in the development and maintenance of custom configurators, rules, data input, form design, document generation, and automation workflows using DriveWorks software.
Configure and customize DriveWorks modules and features to meet specific project needs and leverage design automation capabilities to streamline and automate the product design process.
Create and maintain plugins and macros to extend the functionality of DriveWorks.
Actively work to improve daily processes.
Other duties as assignedQualificationsJob Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer Graphics Technology or equivalent work experience.
Trailer design experience favorable but not required.
Maintain a current and up-to-date knowledge of CAD and Design automation technology developmentsStrong interpersonal, written, and oral skillsDemonstrates a passion and a responsibility for timely, high-quality work.
Self-motivated, independent thinking; executes projects with minimal supervision.
High proficiency in SolidWorks with minimally 2000 seat hoursExperience with annotated models, model based definition, GD&T, and other industry drafting standardsProficiency in DriveWorks / product configurationExperience in design automation to develop and implement DriveWorks-based automation solutions for our manufacturing processes.
Test and deploy systems, methodologies, standards, and processes that result in the ability to manage Engineering data for efficient and effective consumption.
Apply industry best practices.
Work across multiple functional departments to research, develop and deploy technical advances in information technology.
General understanding of engineering/manufacturing data requirements and design toolsFunctional knowledge of design engineering and manufacturing applications and processesFamiliarity with Visual basic and general programmingProficient with Microsoft Office productsWorking understanding of PCs and Windows OSPhysical Demands/Work Environment:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
