Primary
Responsibilities:
Ensure all operations meet industry standards for safety (by OSHA standards) Perform preventative and predicative maintenance, and emergency repair, on industrial machinery and plant support equipment Diagnose complex equipment problems and determine repairs needed Perform facility asset inventory audits, document asset details, consult with client on audit results Perform equipment inspections, document inspection data, and consult with client on repairs needed Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, and Competencies:
Industrial Maintenance Technician candidates must demonstrate competency by agreeing to participate in a skills evaluation which will be used to determine the candidate's current Technician Level, and compensation as such, based on NCCER Certification for Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 Technician.
Candidates which already have NCCER certification will have the option to retest for a higher certification level.
Applicants do not need to be currently certified to apply.
Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of industrial equipment and machinery, including conveyors and various related equipment.
Working knowledge of electrical controls Ability to detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors Ability to use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
) fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances Considerable knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of industrial field service Provide safe, on-time, reliable, best in class customer service Safe and skilled use of rigging, hoisting, and lifting Ability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently Ability to interpret layouts, drawings, blueprints, manufacturer's specifications, and other technical plans Knowledge of lift operator signaling Skill in the use and care of a variety of hand and power tools and equipment of the trade Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions Comfortable working at heights Ability to travel to client locations and be on call at certain times Required Training and Certifications:
Must have or obtain OSHA 10-hour certification (company provided) within 60-days of hire Must have or complete manlift certification within 30-days of hire Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record Must have no felonies Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Demonstrated minimum 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician High school diploma or equivalent Experienced industrial electricians qualified in troubleshooting, repair, wiring and terminations, conveyor systems, and motors and drives highly preferred Proficient welding experience preferred Overhead door and loading dock maintenance experience a plus Job Type:
