Summary:
In this role, you will use your supervisory skills to oversee a small crew of contract laborers or other County employees performing unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in streets, drainage, parks, bridges, or other public areas within the County.
You will need excellent communication skills to follow and issue oral/written instructions.
You will be required to work nights and weekends in emergencies.
Your work will involve physical labor and may be performed in various weather conditions.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, and one (1) year of experience in general maintenance or construction work, including some experience as a lead worker; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
You must provide and wear approved steel-toe protective footwear during regular working hours.
You must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at the time of application.
You must have or be able to obtain the GA Safety Council Flagger's License within one (1) year of employment.
