Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Drafting, Design Engineering or related curriculum; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Proficient in operating CAD equipment.
Position Purpose:
Create design drawings for manufacturing of aircraft parts, assemblies, and installations working from customer specifications and instructions. Ensure that activities are in line with internal/external customers, FAA requirements, and Gulfstream processes to achieve department objectives.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions: 1. Conduct research for information on existing drawings, hardware, vendor parts, etc. relating to job task. 2. Evaluate customer requirements and provides recommendations related to the design. 3. Identify problems and provides solutions to designs. 4. Coordinate design work with other departments, engineers, and designers as required in order to complete in a timely manner.
Additional Functions: 1. Enforce safety rules and procedures. 2. Ensure application of all Gulfstream regulations and policies. 3. Perform other duties as assigned.
