Contract to Hire
As this is a time-sensitive placement, an excellent hourly rate structure is being developed for this key role.
Travel reimbursement (per diem) for qualified non-local candidates.
YOUR ROLE
The Materials Manager will direct and coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in Inventory Control, Receiving Production Control and Purchasing functions. They will be responsible for analyzing inventory levels, production speed and product demand to determine reorder levels which will ensure product availability and minimize inventory costs. Additionally, they will guide the procurement team in sourcing suppliers and acquiring necessary materials and supplies. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations and supply chain principles. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and other plant based management experience is a plus.
BACKGROUND PROFILE
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred degrees include business, ops/supply chain or engineering).
Minimum 5 years operational/supply chain leadership experience within a progressive manufacturing organization.
Purchasing experience desired (in addition to Materials Management knowledge).
Strong PC and analytical skills.
Ability to lead a team and supervise others.
Knowledge of lean principles and methodologiesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
