The Port Wentworth mill is located in a suburb of Savannah Georgia. This mill produces 900 ADMT/day of bleached softwood pulp. The position of Reliability Engineer is responsible for leading and developing the reliability effort in Recovery Utilities and reports to the Mill Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for providing management of maintenance reliability processes.
This position is responsible for maintenance reliability improvements. The successful candidate will provide leadership to drive out repetitive maintenance problems, reduce maintenance costs, and improve equipment reliability. The successful candidate will be a champion for the safe operation of the Port Wentworth mill and be involved in safety activities that move the mill to an injury free environment.
Primary responsibilities include:
o Developing and optimizing preventive maintenance systems, coordinating quarterly and annual shutdowns, conducting failure analysis, improving predictive maintenance systems, utilizing Cause For Loss system, and implementing maintenance improvement projects to eliminate recurring problems.
o Work with both operations and maintenance to develop cost effective solutions to maintenance issues in the department.
o Work on projects that drive the department toward world class results.
o Coordinate activities with the other departments to provide the effective use of the mill wide maintenance resources.

Requirements:
o Prefer candidates with (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) Engineering degree; and/or a minimum of 5 years of reliability experience in a pulp mill.
o Equivalent maintenance experience in Pulp and Paper will be considered.
o Must have extensive experience with all areas of a Pulp or Paper Mill.
o Individual must be safety and team oriented.
o They must have good work ethic, positive attitude and the ability to work independently. Individual should also have excellent communication and computer skills.
