Our Maintenance Supervisors are safety champions leading teams of highly skilled technicians to achieve a reliability goal of greater than 90%. The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Superintendent for the mill operating area.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure a safe work environment for the team. This includes asking for and addressing safety concerns, evaluating opportunities and coaching for success. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for safety issue resolution, SHIMs reporting, incident investigation and ensuring housekeeping standards.
The Maintenance Supervisor will partner with Site Coordinators, Process Area Owners, Maintenance Planners and the Maintenance Superintendent to plan and schedule work. This includes maintaining outstanding communication with this team as well as on-going efforts to identify appropriate opportunities to safely optimize work and spot trends via predictive maintenance techniques.
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the team in safely completing maintenance work. This includes ensuring work is completed at expected quality standard on time and on budget. It also includes on the job training, coaching the team members, upholding company policies and requiring accountability from the team.

The Maintenance Supervisor must have a minimum of 5 years of maintenance and/or engineering experience and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a team environment committed to safety.
Additional requirements include:
Some experience directly supervising others
Demonstrated results-based leadership
Excellent communication and very strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of pulp industry equipment, trade skills and work execution
Knowledge of engineering practices & procedures
Proficiency in interpreting maintenance manuals, functional specifications & engineering drawings
